Biography
Lieve Willekens is a joint PhD researcher at the University of Antwerp and Vrije Universiteit Brussel in the project HomeFrames, focusing on how migrant pioneers used amateur film to reflect, construct, and make sense of their migrant identities in postwar Belgium. She is a visual anthropologist with expertise in film, cultural heritage, memory, and migration.
