Participatory Filmmaking Workshop

From 11 April to 4 June, our team member Irene Gutiérrez will be in Derry/Londonderry (Northern Ireland) to hold a Participatory Filmmaking Workshop with the collaboration of Nerve Centre. During 9 weeks, people living in the area will produce, write, shoot, and direct a film about themselves and their community working with archival footage of Northern Ireland Screen's Digital Film Archive and the Irish Film Institute.
A selection of the films created during the workshop will be part of a film pack curated for international venues and film festivals. The workshop's primary goal is to produce knowledge on the Ireland/Northern Ireland border from on-the-ground films dealing with daily life.
