Following the recent Bundestag elections in Germany, ECHO postdoctoral researcher Dr. Omran Shroufi was in the media, analysing and contextualising the election results in interviews with the Belgian press agency ‘Belga’ and the website ‘Factcheck.Vlaanderen’. Omran was able to share insights from his work on German politics and the far right to highlight some of the biggest surprises and dispel some myths about how different voters cast their ballot.
