Biography
Briar (he/they) is a PhD candidate with a multi-disciplinary background in politics, sociology and media studies. He obtained his MSc in Social and Cultural Science at Radboud University and Bachelor's in Politics at the University of Glasgow. His primary interests are in far-right politics, digital subcultures, (post-)truth, and the negotiation of gender in populist discourses. His research so far has examined homonationalist discourses and competing gender ontologies in right-wing and trans-hostile digital spaces.
